Sam, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's when Imprisonment is DUE...
Owen was of no help this week. And he might continue to be of no help without Tina and Cory. Maybe we shouldn't kill him, but go after someone else instead?

Broderick is looking very Cit and is dangerous.
Owen is not accomplishing anything but exiled three Spies in a row and suspects Cinnamyn. People look up to him as a leader and wish he was here.
Gertrude has a terrible voting record but has half a brain and a mason/immunity role, or so she says.
Chance has a terrible voting record but has a mason/immunity role.
Kiara has a role that could still be a Spy role.
Claude has a role that could still be a Spy role.
Claude doesn't trust Owen or Chance.
Killing Broderick points pretty clearly to Cinnamyn.
We HAVE to get rid of a mason before final 3 or we lose. Whoever they are. Ideally, we get rid of both, but one will do.
I am undecided.

Gertrude and Chance told me it's Gertrude doing it. They could be lying.
I don't know how she managed a double-protect.
Should we off Gertrude? It's risky for a few reasons:
1) It will point to me to an extent. Not many people know that Gertrude is tied in to the Citizen alliance.
2) Gertrude may not be the mason/imp protector. Though she probably is. She's been protected from exile several times.
Our choice appears to be Claude or Gertrude now. If Gertrude is imprisoned, there's a good chance Owen, Chance and Claude all vote for me.
Tough call. We can't allow this protection to continue forever.
Or can we? We only need 3 more mis-exiles, and Rondak, Dane and Jenny are just sitting there waiting for us if we don't screw up and lose a Spy.

mary, if u think u will really take a lot of heat 4 gertie gettin' killed den' i dont think we shud do her. but if not, shes a gud choice. it will get chance off of sum1 he trusts and i think he will float partially over 2 me.
claude iz a deece choice, if only bcuz if he gets off of chance he cud b dangerous, and i dont no how much longer he will b stuck on chance 4, espechully wit' chance earnin' hiz vote back 4 bein' voted in.
im also still up 4 considering a brod imp. shure it will point 2 me, but datz wifom, and it cud b 4got about if we exile jenny dis' round followed up wit' another imp.

Choices, choices. I agree with your thought processes.
They will probably continue to protect Owen until we kill off the Imp Protector. Are we willing to put up with Owen for much longer?
Is there any other public reason why Gertrude would be imprisoned by random spies? I guess the Spies would know she's being protected from exile for a REASON, whatever that reason may be. She's not getting votes anymore. And she votes in lock-step with Owen, I think. Maybe it won't shock them badly if Gertrude goes.
What do you think?

It seems the three names on the table are Broderick, Gertrude, and Claude.
The time delay with the Jenny Exile may be something we can exploit. As Cinnamyn said, there will be two flips after this Imprisonment choice (Jenny and whoever we choose to Imprison after her.) Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't this lessen the impact of either Broderick or Gertrude getting Imprisoned?
Also, Mary, one of your voters could be Imprisoned next round with safe reasoning if Gertrude is the Imprisonment protector. Owen is who I'm thinking of here, because he is a super citizen right now. If the Citizen alliance knows that Gertrude has been protecting Owen, it will look less likely that Gertrude was Imprisoned because of role knowledge, and more as an alternative kill to Owen. I don't see which people Imprisoning Gertrude would incriminate without the role knowledge, and it could easily be an information-less kill.
Playing off the Broderick kill will be more difficult for Cinnamyn, I believe, so I vote Gertrude over Broderick.
Claude is suspected by the "lesser citizens," such as Jasmine and I know there are a few others (I have mentioned suspicion of him for his role.) Once the Citizen alliance is not as strong (losing people like Owen and Gertrude), he will be a potential Exile. In Spies, plans can change at the drop of a hat, and one of our other potential Exiles could become more Citizen in appearance, so keeping suspicious people in the game is something I believe we should do.
So, my vote, in order from most preferred to not as preferred, is:
1. Gertrude
2. Broderick
3. Claude
Also, on a side note, I believe I know why there are two Imprisonment immunities this round. In Spies 7, Jaiden had the Security Checkpoint role, allowing him to learn role information from dead players. There was no prerequisite to use this power, he merely had to post the names and he would learn information. This season, Kiara claims to have the same role. However, she is required to guess alignment flips in order to earn the right to use this ability. To me, this seems like a very minor power to have a requirement placed on. Also in Spies 7, Chloe at some point was given the opportunity to use the roles of dead players. I believe that the Security Checkpoint and Chloe's power have been combined into a new role given to Kiara. If she guesses correctly, she is able to use the role ability belonging to a dead player for that round. This round, I assume she used Allan's ability to copy roles used upon him. Gertrude protected Kiara, Kiara protected Owen.
Unfortunately, if this is true, there will be a protect next round through Kiara, making Owen again unimprisonable.
But if he is always this quiet, things will be alright, and we can get Kiara or someone else.

The reason Gertrude and Chance have been protecting each other is this:
Gertrude only gets to use her power if nobody votes for her. She is "The Angel".
Chance only gets to use his power if someone votes for him. He is "The Devil".
So Chance exile protects Gertrude so no one votes her and she always gets to use her power. When he DIDN'T protect Gertrude, Hambone voted for her and she wasn't allowed to protect. Nice job, Hamhead.

nevermind, allan wuz las' round. There's probably a delay in how she gets to use the role. Look at, I don't know, Allan and Zedekiah one round. Find out Allan has a role, use it next round or look at more people? Or maybe both? Details don't matter, but if there's a delay, Owen should be easy pickings next round. |
